10 de noviembre de 1968 - 30 de julio de 2023
Kevin J. Wagner of Slinger, Wisconsin passed away on July 30th at the age of 54. Kevin was born on November 10th, 1968 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He was a son to Oscar Jr. and Diane Wagner. Kevin is survived by his two children; Hayden and Halle; sister Hiedi (Bill) Reichelt and her children; Derek, Max, Madison, and Cole; sister Jolene (Jason) Burmeister and her children; Cierra and Tyler; many aunts and uncles; and many loving friends that brought out his wild side. He is preceded in death by his parents; Oscar Jr. and Diane Wagner; and his brother; Timothy Wagner. Kevin grew up in Hartford, where he graduated high school. In his younger years, he was known to cause a little bit of mischief, just to add some excitement into the lives of the people around him…including neighbors and teachers. He would tell stories to his children about how he and his cousin, Eddie, would terrorize the neighborhood and have people knocking on Oscar’s door constantly. To say the least, his biggest concern in grade school was having a good time. Even after he graduated, this didn’t seem to change. Kevin loved spending time with his friends and was always on the go with them. In his young adulthood, he would take hunting trips up north or out west with them, rip four-wheelers around, and have a laugh. Later on, he settled down in Slinger and raised his children. He became the honorary member of many people’s homes and some of them even had a “Kevin stash” for whenever he would stop for a visit. His kids often came along on these adventures, meeting new people and learning new things all the time. As for working, he had gained a lot of carpentry experience from Ralph Schellinger Construction right out of high school. He began doing it as a full-time career and learned even more on his own. His work ethic was admired by many and he was often referred to as one of the best carpenters…as long as nobody got in his way. His most recent job had been with Cobblestone Hotels, only just starting in May of 2023. When Kevin wasn’t working or making visits, he was riding his motorcycle. He even taught his son how to ride it. It became their favorite hobby. He would venture all over the state on his bike with his friends, making various pitstops along the way… Kevin will be remembered for his outgoing personality and humor that had people laughing the second he walked into the room. He truly is a unique one and all the people around him will forever cherish their memories with him. Rest in peace, Dad; thank you for everything you have taught us and done for us. A celebration of life gathering will be held on August 21st from 3-8 PM at the Hartford Gun Club, Hartford, Wisconsin. There will be an opportunity to share memories and stories that loved ones have with Kevin. A hot lunch/dinner meal will be served. Beverages will be available for purchase at the bar. The Cremation Society of Kettle Moraine is serving the family.
