22 de septiembre de 1932 - 23 de noviembre de 2022
Edward Frank Holcomb was born to life September 22, 1932, in Streator, IL, to Arthur & Vivian (Bullen) Holcomb. He grew up in Milwaukee and attended Riversidehigh school, where he met a certain young lady! On December 1, 1951, Ed and Marion Tessendorf were united in a marriage that would thrive and grow for 71 years! They were blessed with two children: the late Susan; and Greg (Judy) of Jackson. They have also been blessed with six grandchildren: Stacy (Brian), Kerry (Drew) Feely, Ryan (Ellie) Smith and Jessica, Jeremy (Joann), and Jonathan (Crystal). Plus, Ed got to be great-grandpa to Reagan, Vivian, Wil, Harper, Riley, Mason, Walter, Ethan, Sonya, Malakki, Jaden Ed and Marion made their home in several places: the Falls, Brown Deer, Germantown, and then Jackson (where they enjoyed such good 'condo' neighbors), and finally at the Gables in Germantown these past two years. Ed worked in the construction trades and was part of Heat & Frost InsulatorsLocal 19. Ed and Marion liked to travel! They made many trips to Arizona, and to St. Maarten and enjoyed a few cruises in between. When the kids were growing up, there were many weekends boating and fishing up north. Ed loved the outdoors! Ed was born to eternal life on the morning of November 23 at The Kathy Hospice. His parents; daughter, Susan; and brother, William preceded him in death. He is further survived by son-in-law Kent (Ellen) Smith; and his brothers Dennis and Bobby. For all that was good in his life and for Jesus' promise "I am the resurrection and the life", we say Thanks be to God! Visitation and funeral service for Ed takes place at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Road, in the Town of Jackson on Thursday, Dec. 1, starting at 11, with service at 12. The Cremation Society of Kettle Moraine is serving the family.
